Design a V Block Quilt in 3 Minutes

What we love most about EQ8 is how we can get a quick mock-up of a quilt before we make it. It’s so great to see all the possibilities before you commit!

Quick example, during our Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop last month, we picked up a V Block ruler. But if you google V Block Quilts, you don’t find a whole lot of design options!

That’s where EQ8 came to the rescue. All we had to do was design the V Block in Easy Draw, add it to the quilt layout, and then with a couple of mouse clicks, we had our next quilt project!

It was so easy, we knew we had to share our “how-to” with you. So scroll down a little bit further and watch a 3 minute video of how you can make a V Block quilt design.

P.S. If you like step-by-step instructions, I’ve provided those as well!

The V Block Ruler

We are well on our way to finishing up our V Block quilt and we LOVE this ruler. You should definitely check it out! It’s a “trim-down” ruler, so you end up with pretty perfect blocks.
